Statement Regarding No Casinos/Norman Braman Press Conference
From Jessica Hoppe, Senior Vice-President of Government Affairs and General Counsel, Resorts World Miami:
"Special interest groups opposing destination resorts continue turning to scare tactics to misinform the public and advance their own motives, despite the fact that Florida voters have supported gaming measures time and again. It's outrageous that a self-selected group believes they can pick and choose what jobs they want in their community and try to suppress the will of the people. Unfortunately, the 250,000 unemployed South Floridians do not have the luxury to pick their jobs to suit the elite. These individuals use false information to imply world-class destination resorts will bring crime to the community.
